Rules & Safety

Our commitment to you - we will...

  • Carry out a daily safety inspection
  • Employ a qualified safety consultant to inspect the playground
  • Ensure one or more members of staff on duty have completed a first aid course
  • Train staff to help ensure the playground is run properly and safely
  • Ensure that at all times staffing levels comply with ILAM / ROSPA guidelines
  • Limit the number of children in the playground and never exceed our limit
  • We have and will continue to work with the Local Authority and Fire Brigade to ensure safety standards. (We now have seven fire exits for the playground alone).

Please ensure that you abide by our rules at posted in the playground. We have tried to keep these to a minimum.

Height Restrictions

PLEASE NOTE that there are height restrictions, and that Gus Gorilla's Jungle Playground is NOT a creche. Adults must remain on site, those with children under 6 must remain in the playground.

Main Area Play Area:

Min height ~ 75cm (2'6"), Max height ~ 150cm (4'11").

During weekdays in term times, adults are allowed on the equipment and are responsible for their children at all times. During weekends & school holidays, adults are not allowed on the equipment as we have supervisors on the equipment at these times.

In busy periods a maxiumum of two adults are permitted with each child - extra adults with be charged £2.50 each entry fee.

Toddlers Area:

Max height ~ 95cm (3'0").

Those with children in the Toddlers Area must remain with them at all times.

We must point out that children use the centre at their own risk. We cannot take responsibility for any child left unattended or for any injuries caused through a child's misuse of the equipment. Given the length of the slides it is recommended that all children keep their arms and legs covered to reduce the risk of friction burns. ALL ADULTS AND CHILDREN MUST WEAR SOCKS - children will be asked to leave the play area if they are not wearing socks.
